Dr. Mangat

Dr. Mangat completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Centre in Chicago, Illinois and spent an additional year there upon being selected as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine.  Throughout his residency, Dr. Mangat volunteered his time at a free clinic serving the uninsured immigrant and refugee population of inner-city Chicago. Following his residency, he moved on to Arizona where he worked as in Internist in an inpatient and critical care setting with Banner Health, one of the leading and largest health care organizations in the United States.  Dr. Mangat was elected Section Chief of Hospital Medicine with Banner Health for multiple terms, holding this position until his return to Calgary.  He continues to be certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.

During his career, Dr. Mangat has been recognized on numerous occasions for his research work and leadership skills.  He has made several poster presentations before the American College of Physicians and has published his work in the New England Journal of Medicine.  Dr. Mangat has also chaired and co-chaired several executive, administrative and clinical committees, serving as a representative of his fellow physicians in various settings.

Dr. Mangat is currently practicing Internal Medicine with Advanced Cardiology.  In keeping with his continuing efforts to expand his medical knowledge and experience, Dr. Mangat has obtained his diploma from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and now looks forward to applying his medical skills and clinical knowledge to this field.
